A little bit about myself:
I started my oily journey many years before I even used my first essential oil. Years ago, I was diagnosed with a disorder that changed my entire life. I realized the best option for me to beat this battle was to start living a healthier and more natural lifestyle. I stopped drinking soda, stopped eating fast food and avoided processed foods.
I thought I was doing pretty good until I learned more about chemicals and plastics and the affects it has on our bodies. So, I started the second phase of my journey. I started using more stainless steel, glass and wood cooking ware/utensils. I learned about more natural ways to clean the house and more home remedies for minor issues.
It was a few years later when I accidentally discovered essential oils. I became sick during the holiday season and needed to go to the doctor (that says a lot, I hate going to the doctor!). My husband heard about how oregano oil can boost the immune system and went out and bought some store-bought stuff. I didn’t think much about it until a year later when one of my chickens wasn’t looking too well. I had no clue what was wrong with her. I was headed out of town in a couple of hours and couldn’t take her to the vet. I remember reading an article about a chicken farmer who was giving his chickens oregano oil to help keep them above the wellness line. So, I put a few drops of very diluted oregano oil into her food along with apple cider vinegar and garlic. When we came home from our trip, I went to check on her and found her to be back to her happy self. It definitely made me think about essential oils and that there might be something to them!
